Revel Boats Website & 3D Configurator
Creative Direction | UI/UX | Web Design
Correct Craft is one of the top manufacturers in the marine industry, leading innovation with brands like Nautique, Centurion, Bass Cat, Parker Boats, and more. They approached Red Rocket Studios to launch their latest brand, a cutting-edge pontoon boat, engineered to combine the relaxation and ease of a pontoon boat with the performance and handling that Correct Craft is known for.
As the Creative Director on this web project, I was tasked with crafting the overall design style and user journey for the website and interactive boat configurator. I presented our vision and updates in biweekly meetings with the client and lead the creative team from the prototyping phase to final development and testing.
Phase 1: Research & Prototyping
In the first phase of development, we conducted competitor research, learning from other vehicle builder sites to map out how we wanted the "Build Your Revel" configurator to function and perform. Based on the client's brand guide and the sector research, I created a style sheet to serve as a guideline for the overall look-and-feel of both the website and interactive boat configurator.
After client sign-off on the direction and initial wireframes, prototyping in Figma began. The final configurator would feature 360-degree boat views, multiple customization paths, and real-time visual updates. I designed the initial prototypes, mapping everything from the interface design to the functionality of the customization options.

Phase 2: Development & Testing
Once the prototypes were refined and approved, I handed off the designs to our development team. We had regular check-in calls to work through bugs and further refine the user experience. Together, we ensured that everything from the button style to the naming conventions were optimized for clarity and ease-of-use.
Phase 3: Launch & Results
Between calls with the dev-team, we collaborated with Revel Boats' internal marketing to craft a full-scale digital launch experience to elevate the Revel Boats brand and drive engagement. We kicked things off with a teaser microsite featuring a launch countdown, building anticipation and capturing early traffic. This transitioned into the full launch of RevelBoats.com, a sleek, user-focused site built on a semi-custom CMS and designed to highlight concise, value-propositions and beautiful photography.
The finalized “Build Your Revel” configurator is an interactive tool that lets users rotate their boat 360°, explore the unique Revel packages, accessories, and visualize updates in real-time. Visitors can also save and submit builds via integrated CRM.
While performance data is still coming in, early interest is strong, with high site traffic, steady configurator usage, and brand recognition building with its target audience.
