Bold Design for a Golf Championship

Event Graphics for the AAC & LAAC

As a freelancer on this project, I worked with the creative director to develop two design directions for the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship and the Latin America Amateur Championship. The goal was to enhance the existing AAC & LAAC digital and on-site branding and create a consistent branded experience for the events so that both championship events felt cohesive, yet distinctive.

The following are the two design collections that I contributed to the pitch document that was presented to the organization.

Freelance Graphic Designer

Concept 01: Clean & Classic

Clean, classic, and with a touch of nostalgia, this direction is guided by the player and typography. It utilizes a restricted color palette and select design elements so that the players become the hero as they lift off the soft organic paper backgrounds.

Along with poster designs, various templates for social media and banners were created.

Concept 02: Straight & Narrow

This direction is guided by thin red and blue lines inspired by the AAC & LAAC logos. These straight lines help create movement and quadrants for layout and design. The players are emphasized by a pop of color below them.

Conclusion

The client moved forward with a combination of design elements from Concept 02 and concepts provided by other designers. I did not design the AAC or LAAC logos nor do I own the rights to the photography. All of the photo editing, layout, and design work is my own.
